Sunrise at Huskisson

I spent two beautiful days on the shore of Huskisson (NSW, Australia), also called the heart of Jervis Bay. We were exploring the beaches in this area when we decided to stay for the night and enjoy the activities offered here. Initially, I wasn’t sure if it was the right spot to capture a sunrise, but after finding a comfortable Bed and Breakfast near the beach, I decided to stay back and try my luck.

Google indicated the sunrise time to be around 5:30 am, but it was quite bright when I woke up at 5. My first thought was that I missed the sunrise. After walking around the beach, following the orangish clouds, I found the perfect spot. A cool morning breeze swept across my face as I sat on the rocky coastline, waiting for the sun to rise.

Everything looked so picture perfect, so serene – like a painting – poetic, peaceful and refreshing. The kind of scene that makes you feel emotions from a life long back ago.

And when the sun slowly rose from the horizon, let me tell you, it was absolutely magnificent. The skyline dramatically started changing its color, and within minutes there were splashes of orange and yellow hues across the Eastern sky.

How beautiful is nature! It makes you forget about the world, the scary deadlines at work, and the race against time to reach that golden goal. How I would love to sit and watch this sight every morning. While I sat on that beach, I felt like time slowed down, savoring the finer nuances of life.
