Let’s go Musical, Lyrical!!

Music keeps me going, whether I am burning onions in the  kitchen or zentangling my brains out. I am a terrible terrible singer, but that doesn’t stop me from mouthing all my favorite songs, while I weild the knife slicing potatoes. I keep changing my playlist every once in while.

Here’s the latest top five from my current list.

Calvin Harris – Outside ft. Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is my new favorite singer, after Adele of course. I love how soft her voice is, the music beautiful and peppy, and I don’t have to strain my ears to understand the lyrics.

John Legend – All of Me

“You are crazy and I am out of my Mind”
SWWOOONNNNNN!!!!
Everytime I hear his voice, I am like literally swoonniinggg… hitting walls and stuff. Is there any other song more Romantic than this? Nah don’t answer that!!

Passenger – Let Her Go

“Staring at the bottom of your glass.
Hoping one day you’ll make a dream last”
I was looking for something else when I came across this song. Since then I have burned my ears out listening to it on repeat.

Adam Levine – Maps

Apart from his awesome voice, he is obviously drop dead gorgeous. Ever since I heard This Love, way back in college, I have been biased to almost all his songs – from Misery, One more night, She will be loved , to his latest sensation- Animals.
Sia – Chandelier

Best for the last.
You HAVE to watch the video. The first time I watched and listened to this Music Video, I had goosebumps all over me, I still do sometimes. I don’t know why this songs haunts me. Bewitching!!

Did you like this musical and lyrical post? Let me know which one’s your favorite.

  1. Other than Ellie's name being similar to mine, what I like best was the techno beat, great to dance to! πŸ˜‰ John Legend's 'All of Me' is SO romantic and sexy too: what a voice AND video! And I thought it the perfect wedding song before the wedding clip at the end! πŸ˜‰ I especially heard/felt the sadness in Passenger’s voice, 'Let Her Go' at the very beginning and end in particular. I love the words, the beat, the music, and the accent! πŸ˜‰ Adam Levine's 'Maps' – Love the beat, the lyrics, and great dance music! I was dancing in my chair! πŸ˜‰ Sia's Chandelier, well I find the video rather disturbing only to look up the lyrics and concur that thought within me. Though she is an agile dancer and reminds me of a potential wannabe Lada Gaga, the music and song did not appeal to me. So my fave is #2 hands down! πŸ˜‰ <3

  2. I will have to check those out – thank you! The song I'm most enthralled with these days is "Take Me To Church" by Hozier. He's got an amazing voice, and is rather nice looking too!

  3. absolutely loved these… I gotta admit I am so outdated now… only knew Maroon 5's Adam from that list. I probably need more posts like this to let me know there are still good songs out there. Thanks πŸ™‚
