This April, I’m participating in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge with a creative twist -learning and sharing Zentangle patterns! Each day, I’ll explore a new pattern, uncovering its beauty and include it in my zentangle inspired artwork. At the end of the challenge, I hope to have a completed artwork with all the patterns I learned in this challenge. Join me on this artistic journey as I embrace mindfulness, creativity, and the joy of tangling!
Day 22 of the challenge – V for Verve
Verve is a dynamic and rhythmic Zentangle-inspired pattern that stands out for its energy, movement, and optical depth. Designed by JJ LaBarbera, Verve features a series of wavy, flowing lines that expand and contract, forming eye-catching segments that resemble stretched ovals or teardrops lined up in a row. These segments are usually filled with solid black, shading, or color to enhance the pattern’s sense of motion.

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to draw Verve tangle pattern.

Here’s the complete look with patterns A to V.
