This April, I’m participating in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge with a creative twist -learning and sharing Zentangle patterns! Each day, I’ll explore a new pattern, uncovering its beauty and include it in my zentangle inspired artwork. At the end of the challenge, I hope to have a completed artwork with all the patterns I learned in this challenge. Join me on this artistic journey as I embrace mindfulness, creativity, and the joy of tangling!
Day 13 of challenge – M for Malb
Malb is a Zentangle pattern characterized by flowing, curved lines and small, rounded shapes. It creates a soft, textured design, offering a calming effect while making the art. The pretty tangle is by artist Sayomi Koike. You can read more about it on Malb.
Malb is turning out to be one of my favorite patterns. I love how you can build on top of each layer, adding more curves in smooth, continuous strokes.

I think they can fit anywhere – as a filler between tangles or even as a monotangle.

Here’s the Zentangle-inspired artwork – all patterns from A to M.

Thought I would share a video tutorial as well.

It’s a beautiful pattern. Seeing how it’s done makes it seem less intimidating to try! You have a very interesting theme.
This is a very cool project! Thank you for sharing your work and your process.
