This April, I’m participating in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge with a creative twist -learning and sharing Zentangle patterns! Each day, I’ll explore a new pattern, uncovering its beauty and include it in my zentangle inspired artwork. At the end of the challenge, I hope to have a completed artwork with all the patterns I learned in this challenge. Join me on this artistic journey as I embrace mindfulness, creativity, and the joy of tangling!
Day 12 of challenge – L for Lapwing
Today, I am exploring another unique and pretty zentangle pattern called Lapwing, by Lucy Farran. The pattern features smooth, curved lines and overlapping shapes. It creates a delicate, flowing design, often resembling feathers or bird wings, adding grace and movement to Zentangle art. You can use them as borders, in curved designs, or in a circular pattern.
Here’s a quick tutorial on how to draw Lapwing tangle pattern.

After a little bit of shading and adding some depth to the lapwing pattern.
