This April, I’m participating in the April A to Z Blogging Challenge with a creative twist -learning and sharing Zentangle patterns! Each day, I’ll explore a new pattern, uncovering its beauty and include it in my zentangle inspired artwork. At the end of the challenge, I hope to have a completed artwork with all the patterns I learned in this challenge. Join me on this artistic journey as I embrace mindfulness, creativity, and the joy of tangling!
The beauty of Zentangle is its simplicity. All you need is a piece of paper, a pen (preferably black ink), and maybe a pencil for guidelines. No special tools are required. Begin with one pattern and work your way around the frame. Patterns in Zentangle are simple and repetitive. Focus on making each stroke mindful, not rushed. Let creativity flow naturally.
Day 3 of challenge – C for Crescent Moon
Today I am experiementing with Crescent Moon – as the name suggests this design looks like tiny moons. I used to draw something similar without knowing that it was called Crescent Moon. I love how it fills up the space between other tangle patterns. You can read more about the pattern here – Crescent Moon.
Here’s a quick video on how I drew Crescent Moon, filling up the space between Arukas and Bysomnus tangle pattern.
I added the pattern in the empty space between Arukas and Bysomnus.
My Previous A to Z April Challenge (2014 to 2016) themes covered travel postcards, poetry types, yoga asanas, and crazy siblings tales. Check the list here – A to Z Challenge
Beautiful and intricate at the same time, Raj! I’m so glad you are sharing these patterns with us, over this month. 🙂

I love your project, and I look forward to following your explorations of various patterns. Have fun!
Nice work. I wasn’t familiar with the zentangle term but the creations are very nice. I can see how it could be relaxing to create these works.

I love the dash of color in the middle 🙂
