Easy Zentangle Patterns for Beginners | Step-by-Step Art Tutorial

Hello Everyone. I am back with an art post after a long time. Last year I challenged myself to draw a pattern from random squiggly lines. The idea was inspired by a few art reels I saw on Instagram. Quite frankly, I wasn’t sure how this would turn out. It barely took me 15 minutes to complete the pattern. It would have been quicker if I had used a thicker gel pen to fill in the space.

Since I don’t get enough time to make more intricate drawings or paintings, I like the idea of spending quick 10-15 minutes in a day or week to let the ideas flow and be creative.

Here’s the progress photo – a step-by-step tutorial. As they say – trust the process.

My YouTube Shorts are finally getting some love! While I’m not rolling in monetization money yet, it’s definitely looking better than Instagram. All I need is to be consistent but it’s easier said than done. The dream of hitting the big number is alive and thriving, though the bar for monetization is so high. I need either 4,000 watch hours in a year or 10 million views in 90 days. Who came up with these numbers, a triathlon athlete? 😭😵‍💫

My millennial self finally found a way to upload long-form videos from my phone. What a relief! The process is so much easier and faster than uploading from a Desktop. Uploading from the desktop took hours. It almost put me off from creating videos as the upload process was extremely tedious and slow. But now, the downside is that my phone is always running out of storage space.

On that note, here’s the tutorial for drawing the above pattern. Don’t forget to like and subscribe (oh my God! I am one of those now) 🤣 A wannabe artist fumbling her way to social media 🤣

  1. I have always loved doing this. 🙂 Drawing curvy lines and then filling the spaces with patterns and flowers and colours to get a picture I never even imagined. 🙂

Let’s keep the conversation flowing!
