I spent the last week in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand, where I enjoyed four wonderful nights filled with delicious street food, relaxing massages, and spa treatments, all while exploring some of the city’s top attractions. After a long and exhausting day of sightseeing, we arrived at Wat Arun in the evening. The temple immediately captivated me with its stunning white and blue tower, which looked incredibly beautiful and detailed in the soft evening light.
Upon taking a closer look, I discovered that the entire structure was adorned with intricate mosaics made from porcelain.
The mosaic work at Wat Arun is a stunning display of craftsmanship, using porcelain, glass, and ceramic tiles, often sourced from old Chinese trading ships. Artisans carefully arranged small, colorful fragments to form intricate patterns, including floral designs and mythical creatures. These mosaics were applied to the central prang (spire) and other parts of the temple, creating a shimmering effect, especially during sunrise and sunset. The reflective porcelain pieces catch the light, giving the temple an ethereal glow.
I was really lucky to view this gorgeous sight – as the sun dipped down the horizon, the pieces shimmered and the tower almost glowed in the evening light.

I will share more about the temple and my adventure in Bangkok I future posts. Today, I wanted to share the beautiful sunsets I witnessed in Bangkok.
The view from the hotel presented me with opportunity to enjoy tea while admiring purple and orange sunsets.

Hope you all have great week ahead.
