As I type these words the Geminids are supposed to light up the sky. It is nearly midnight so I might try stepping out in the dark and test my luck. Also hoping that the night might wake up my 2 am poet brain. 🙂 I have been able to let some of my creativity out in the past few weeks. Check below the floral artwork I made recently. I love doing black-and-white artwork because it is quick and quite convenient to make. Doesn’t need many tools and can be done anywhere. I have found peace in these not-so-perfect patterns and lines.
I am not always happy with the outcome. Sometimes I judge myself harshly for not being clean or not adding as much detail as I initially wanted to. I have to remind myself that I draw not to impress but that the sole purpose of my drawing is to find a little bit of peace and quiet within a busy routine. It serves its purpose.
Learning to be kind to self is a lifelong journey, isn’t it? 🙂

AI-generated artwork has caused quite a furor in the past few months. As a software engineer, I am both curious and excited about the advancement in technology. How prompts can create pictures in a matter of seconds. They can even create realistic photographs like sunsets, mountains, etc.
I have tried a bunch of free apps already to see what they can do. I have tried many weird and uncommon prompts as well, and I have to say I am impressed by the images produced by artificial intelligence. It would be interesting to see what the future holds for these apps, and how this form of digital art will be treated by the art community. We are still in the early stages of AI-generated art. It will slowly find its purpose and place in different fields as long as everything is done ethically and it doesn’t plagiarise artists that have made a name for themselves through hard work and talent.
As someone who loves handmade artwork, I will always be partial to the thoughtfully made handiwork of artists. Similar to how one could never get over the smell of paperbacks.

Ever since I saw Sakura Densya book nook advertisement on Instagram I wanted to buy one. I think Instagram algorithm has really figured me out. It would look perfect on my bookshelf. It comes with around 200 wooden pieces, that need to be put together to make the book nook. I will start working on it during the Christmas break.
The Queen of the night or Tan Hua flower bloomed this week. This is the first bloom of the season. I could never get over the excitement of watching the first bloom of this exotic flower. It is the sort of feeling that I can’t put into words. Maybe other plant lovers will identify with this emotion.

The black and white art is brilliant. I love the white marks on a black background. I love digital art these days as it is easy to deal with since I don’t have to clean up the mess afterwards. 🙂 I haven’t tried AI generated artwork yet. Some of them look amazing, but some are not that great. It’s wonderful that we are getting these different options to try out, isn’t it? Thank you for sharing and inspiring, Raj. 🙂
Thank you so much. With AI art I think it takes a few iterations to get something nice. Also need a very detailed prompt. I could barely get a decent human face with most apps.
Real art over the AI one, any day! Something about it screams unnatural to me, don’t know why. And your art over any other art. Definitely!
Wow! That ‘white pen’ work was something totally new for me! Will check out your other ‘related posts’ on it. And I think I prefer the real art work over the AI generated one. It looks too artificial for my taste.

Hahaha yeah I didn’t post this one in BAR so thought might as well post it in this week’s thread 😄 I am fascinated with AI art, mostly because of how much advancement we have made in technology. I find everything about it interesting and keep trying out new prompts and how AI tries to interpret those prompts. Got like 5 AI art apps on my phone itself. And now that we have chatgpt, I use that to write Python programs that will create more art. Fascinating 😄 thank you for visiting my blog
