How to draw: It’s Okay Not to be okay | Floral Art

I am sharing yet another step-by-step photo tutorial on how to draw white pen art – this floral Typography that I had wanted to do since last year.

“It’s Okay Not to Be Okay” is my most favorite Korean Drama. An intense hard-hitting drama that will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. It came to me at a time when I was going through a rough patch last year. In between late nights and many hospital visits, I let the drama take me into its world, and for a little bit, I felt relieved to be away from reality. I laughed and cried and held my heart as I watched the characters battle their inner demons before embarking on a journey to heal themselves. The title is available on Netflix. I highly recommend it.

Given that we have been in a lockdown for so long, this message resonates with me.

Materials
1. White pen – I used Sakura Gelly Roll size 5mm and 8mm
2. Black Paper – I bought my drawing pad from eBay

For floral patterns, I get inspiration from Pinterest or draw my own designs. I usually outline the letters with a pencil as I am not very confident with lettering, otherwise, I draw the patterns freehand.

Drawing is like a meditation for me. So I don’t worry about mistakes or missing something out. It is a very liberating feeling to be able to draw without worrying about corrections.
