Ponds is a suburb in Sydney (NSW, Australia), about 40 km from the CBD. The residential area is fairly new, with beautiful parks and a huge artificial lake called Ironbark Lake. The lake, which was originally a farm dam, has a walkway around it, a playground for toddlers and seating areas to watch the beautiful colors of sunset reflect on the water surface. You will also find a lot of birdlife like wood ducks swimming in the lake.
Here are some of the pictures I had taken on different visits.

SUch a beautiful place, Raj! Perfect to unwind after a busy week, along with the family or your friends. I could lose myself out there and wish never to return 😛
Oh my god!! These pictures are absolutely stunning. Each one is better than the other. What a gorgeous place to spend some fun and relaxing time. The first two pictures need to be framed!!
Wow, these pictures are so beautiful. I love lakesides too. I love sitting by one and enjoying the breeze.
The photos are all like picture postcards, Raj. The one with you in it is lovely. How wonderful to see places thousands of miles away through your pictures. I can imagine how soothing it would be to sit and watch the water and the ducks.
tranquil scenes
Your photos look like paintings. Particularly the last one. It’s wonderful to capture the same site in different seasons – it looks like a different place!

Absolutely stunning, Rajlakshmi! Ironbark Lake looks like such a magnificent spot, if I lived in Sydney, I would also be a frequent visitor. Water has such a pull for me. These are such beautiful shots, you have really captured the essence of this dreamy place.

I have had Australia on my Bucket List fro quite some time. Your posts just make me want to get there as quickly as my budget will allow! 🙂
Which camera do you use? Lovely shots! The colours are so rich and vibrant!
Great to see you back with all these beautiful views for All Seasons! Many thanks for linking:) How is the New year treating you? Totally forgot you lived in Australia. How far are you living from the fires? Do they have any impact, where you live? Hoping you live in a safe area! Have a beautiful week!
We were safe from fire but it was very smoky. Couldn’t even go to our backyard. And the heatwaves didn’t help either. Its getting better now. Thank you for asking. 😊
I know how people feel surrounded by big fires, because I have been in that same situation, and even though it may not touch your house, it’s a lot more stressful than others know!
