Presenting before you my new Zentangle inspired artwork (ZIA) done using fineliner pens by micron and unipen. I bought a bunch of art supplies from ebay last month – watercolor sketch pens, micron pens, white sakura gelly rolls and drawing pad with black sheets. In the coming months, I will share all the new exciting arty stuff that I am planning to do. Of course, it also depends on how much spare time my little bubba allows me to have.
I usually don’t have a plan while drawing these ZIA. So except for the circle to enclose the patterns, everything is done freehand. Takes off the pressure to make everything perfect, which is a reason why I love them. Drawing these patterns one after another, either in silence or with a comedy sketch playing in the backdrop, takes away a lot of anxiety and stress.
Like always, I am sharing the progress pictures. You will find links to a few of my other artworks at the end of the post. Hope you like them. Until next time!
Zentangle Inspired Artwork – Bloom
Pin for Later
Surely you are living this beautiful message βBloom where youβre plantedβ, Raji.
I always get inspired by these. I find drawing them suits me better than all the βadult coloring booksβ in the world; I prefer the originality and exploration. Never know where theyβll take us. I used to do something very similar with colored markers on posterboard, as a kid, before Zentangle and ZIA were a thing, so I think it brings back those memories, as well.
This is exquisite, Raj! Really pretty.
I envy you. There, I said it.
How can anyone be so talented in so many sphere of life!? You indeed are an inspiration to so many of us, Raj! β€
Itβs gorgeous and so so intricate. Must need tons of patience.
On an average, how much time does it take for you to complete this detailed and intricate patterned zentangle? And what do you do with these artworks once they are complete? Do you file them?
Must say, you are truly creative and talented!
