Hello!

By day, I’m a software engineer untangling code; by night, I'm a poet crafting verses that (hopefully) make sense. When I'm not debugging or rhyming, you'll find me on spontaneous travel adventures writing about pretty sunsets, reading sci-fi while occasionally getting lost in my own backyard.   Life’s not just ones and zeroes—between kid’s activities and sneaking in yoga sessions, I’m trying to balance it all with a smile and a lot of caffeine!  Join me on this wild ride of travel tales, artistic escapades, and everyday anecdotes!

Just got over flu and diving back into my practice.😊
The end of year leads to a surge of frantic chaotic energy - a mad rush to tick off goals, deep-clean house for a fresh start, publish numerous drafts on my blog, and of course, plan trips. Just last week I finished reading 4 books. I have already crushed my reading goals this year, but that wasn't enough so I added 10 more to the list.

I did an hour long session with funky crow as the peak pose. Well, my Funky crow didn't take flight 😭, so I ended the practice with forearm balance and scorpion handstand. I admit, I solely did that to make myself feel better. 😄

Spent the last two days binge watching Gyeongseong

Spent the last two days binge watching Gyeongseong Creature season 2 #drama . One of the characters asks the ML - "how much do you trust me?". He replies,"There's no how much in trust? I just trust you." ☺️ I loved this conversation so much.

I have been physically active this week, but I also ate extraordinarily well 😂 way too much because my husband and friends are awesome cooks. This double chin isn't going away anytime soon. 😭🤣

Front Splits ❤️

I haven't been able to practice splits much. The last time I did was for a yoga challenge. I am grateful that I am still able to do this on one side, although after a long warm-up. My other side is still wonky 😵‍💫 and a few inches off the ground.

The weather has been an absolute delight the last few weeks, so I am able to enjoy the backyard a bit more. Waiting for the daylight saving to begin so that I can enjoy some more light in the evenings. 😁

I never realised how seasonal change impact mood and behaviour, until this year. The onset of spring had definitely brightened up my mood. 🤩

I feel like they all are some variation of Side Crow or Parsva Bakasana. The transition to Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1 is a fun arm balance, although it is still a bit tricky for me. I learned to do these arm balances way before I could hold the crow pose properly. The next challenge is bakasana - balancing with straight arms 😵‍💫 how do so many practitioners do it so easily. 👏👌

I started watching the popular Korean Drama - Queen of Tears yesterday. As always, I was binge watching and didn't get enough sleep because K-Dramas are so addictive. But today I feel like my head will explode. 😭 I miss my twenties when I could get by with just a few hours of sleep. Sigh - This baby grasshopper needs to sleep like a baby tonight.
