After a sleepless night and a long day at work, my

After a sleepless night and a long day at work, my evening was surprisingly relaxed. A nice cup of 🍵 and a book. My friend surprised me by driving all the way to my home to give some delicious homemade chicken kebabs. 😍 I finished reading Aprentice to the Villain just before midnight. Amidst murder mysteries and science fiction, sometimes I need a light-hearted fun rom-com. 😄

Learning to do splits or Hanumanasana was quite a journey that spanned over 2 years and a pregnancy. It didn't come to me overnight, neither those 10 days or 20 days crash course to splits were of any help. I got some excellent lessons on acceptance, consistency, and patience. For that I will always be grateful. 😇

Comparison is a double-edged sword-motivating yet mildly soul-crushing. I used to watch others fold into Surya Yantrasana like pretzels while I resembled a tangled headphone cord. (And I still use wired headphones). Instead of forcing it I gave myself time. Turns out, patience works, now I’m at least a neatly folded napkin it not pretzel.

Sharing some shoulder opening poses that will help to prepare for backbends. I found out much later in my practice that side bends are just as important for deeper backbends as shoulder and heart-opening poses. ❤️ it has helped me to focus on a balanced practice rather than just a pose.

Taking this challenge as a reminder that a little bit of love, kindness, and compassion goes a long way. To be kind to myself and to the others around me ❤️
