5 Art Project Ideas With tutorials

Beware: Art OverLoaded

Since I am an incorrigible procrastinator, and there are at least 15 incomplete drafts in my blogger dashboard, I thought of posting all the pending art project posts in one post.In this post I will share DIY art ideas along with tutorials.

This weekend I got a lot of stuffs done as I was mostly indoors. Sydney Summer is getting brutal every passing day. The temperature is soaring so high that the thought of going outside, even to buy grocery, makes me flinch.

In the comforts of my living room, with CID playing at the backdrop (Daya 💗), I did stretches, push ups, drank watermelon juice and finished my drawings.

Keep scrolling, because there’s quite a few (along with step by step photos of how I made them)

My Doodle Girl

I have recently started learning oil painting (mostly from Youtube). This time I wanted to make something really colourful and random. So I just kept adding drawings, whatever caught my fancy. You can even find my poem in here. I had to wait for two days to let the oil paints dry, before continuing.

  1. Zentangles I find them so difficult somehow! Oil paintings are good start, I started with acrylic never tried my hands on oil ones. African lady is a clean work, loved it 🙂 I wanted to do that when I was in India and made a few book marks but yours look more professional ❤️

  2. OMG! Raj, I was awestruck seeing your artwork! You are one talented girl!
I loved the zentangle designs – tell me can I make any design that comes to my mind, or are there some rules to be followed, vis a vis the patterns?
I loved the African woman! The painting and the poem are superb, too!
Way to go, girl! Keep it up! And, keep inspiring me, too! 😛 <3

    1. There are certain zentangle patterns (you can find the tutorial online) which you can use but overall it's all up to you, like drawing a Mehendi. You can repeat the same design or add in new ones. I looked up Pinterest for zentangle ideas and then just started drawing whatever that came to my mind. Please feel free to DM me if you need any help 🙂 Thank you so much for your wonderful comment 😀

  3. You are so creative and talented….every time I visit your posts, I am in for a pleasant surprise….loved the girl, the zentangle, and the African woman….and loved the poem too….especially the phrase 'the sky tangerine'….evokes a beautiful image……

  6. You have such a lot of Patience Rajlakshmi! Your step by step guide is something that says more than your zentangles and doodles. I adore that very quality of your posts – the patience and the detailing.
