Of Rail Tales & Purikura

I was reading Magician by Raymond E. Feist while commuting from home to office – which is an hour long train journey and the best time to indulge in some magic and fantasy. Pug, our teenage hero and the magician’s apprentice was in his room, sitting next to the Princess, who had sneaked out of the castle at night. The scene was set, the emotions strong, kissing and crying … oh so romantic!!

hiisshhhhh hisshhhh hishhhh

My reverie was broken by the ‘nasal tunes’ made by someone sitting behind me, as he emptied the contents of his nose in a tissue. I cringed in my seat, concentrating hard on the words … on the Princess … their budding love story … but no. Instead of lovey-dovey feelings, that section of the story will forever remind me of the guy who blew his nose.

Well, I couldn’t read any further!! Neither did the pained expression on my face fade away.

Why am I sharing this, well why should I be the only one to gross out… you should too … Muhahahaha {sigh… I am such a sadist}

I have a lot of homework to do. My awesome friend Garmin had lent me a boxful of books to read. Look at these beauties … aren’t they just gorgeous!! Yeah I have cool friends too.

Few months back I had my first experience at Purikura – Japanese sticker photo booth. You pay $18 in gold coins, select few templates, pose and then add stickers all around the photographs and print them. Cute huh!! And you get to own some lovely photographs with your gal pals.

  1. Cheese to that blowing nose bit.. thank God u transported me quickly to the world of books. Admit there's nothing so gorgeous as a pile of neatly stacked books. Glad you have friends who lend you a generous number of books.
