So what’s the best thing I love about my hometown? Apart from my home of course 🙂 It has to be the Tea Gardens. Whenever I see a packet of Assam Tea sold in Sydney Supermarkets, I can’t help but become nostalgic or even homesick.
Among other things, Assam is famous for its Tea – which is mostly black tea, bright in color and strong in flavour.
My mom likes it without milk and sugar, instead she would drink the tea with jaggery. I had tried that few times, but living away from home has changed my taste buds too. I prefer a strong milk tea with a dash of ginger. The aroma that fills the house is enough to bring back all those childhood memories when my parents, siblings and I would huddle together on the porch, sipping tea, munching snacks, laughing about mundane things.
Along with Claire, Parul and Shalini, we have formed an Unconventional Alliance with A to Z co-host Pam Margolis as the ring leader … all set to rock the party
