I feel fortunate to have spent some time exploring the beauty of HongKong’s largest island – Lantau Island, famous for its monasteries and Big Buddha Statue.
The morning was dedicated to admiring the tranquility and life at a quaint Chinese Village – Tai O.
After that we took a bus to Ngong Ping 360, and that’s were we saw the towering 109 feet Tian Tian Buddha Statue.
It’s a Bronze statue of Gautam Buddha, completed in 1993. Since my husband is a Buddhist, and loves to visit Monasteries and Buddha Temples, I had made sure that this was in our itinerary.
The view from the top was magnificent. By now you would have known how obsessed I am about natural beauty. Being so close to nature, with an amazing architectural brilliance, surrounded by more beautiful statues… one tends to get overpowered by emotions, or maybe it is just me. 🙂

Next to Big Buddha is the stunning Po Lin Monastery. I am kidding you not, I was mesmerized… almost blinded by the incredibly stunning interiors. But sadly photography wasn’t allowed. More about Monastery in my Letter M Post 🙂
Along with Claire, Parul and Shalini, we have formed an Unconventional Alliance with A to Z co-host Pam Margolis as the ring leader … all set to rock the party

I'm enthralled by your photos! You said: "Being so close to nature, with an amazing architectural brilliance, surrounded by more beautiful statues… one tends to get overpowered by emotions, or maybe it is just me." No, it's not just you. I feel the same way, especially so when we toured Greece in 2013.
