Sunrise and Yoga – Peaceful

I hope you all had an amazing weekend. We had a long weekend here in Australia and I could see most of the people here heading off to coastal areas to soak in the sun.

I spent the Saturday morning looking for a perfect sunrise spot. I woke up at 4:30 am, spent another half an hour waking my husband and by 5 we were all set to go. Let me tell you, the GPS starts acting weird once you reach Sydney CBD. We initially thought of going to Bondi Beach, but after numerous missed Exits and wrong turns, we landed in Clovelly beach. The Sun was slightly up the horizon but it was gorgeous nevertheless.

I had always wanted to shoot Yoga Photos at sunrise. It was like a dream come true. I have started practising Yoga again. I am still at intermediate level, but someday I hope  I will be able to do all those invert and headstands.

The Dancer Pose

Everything looked so perfect and peaceful. I could just stand there and watch the waves crash against the rocks.

Saluting the sun

Peaceful isn’t it? If you are around Sydney, don’t miss watching sunrise at Clovelly Beach.

  1. Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you writing this write-up and also
the rest of the site is extremely good.

  2. Beautiful pics! I'd also love to shoot myself doing asanas against a seascape with the sun rising! But I live in Delhi!! And I guess I need a photographer or a remote for my camera!
    Love your blog.

  3. These are wonderful! You could do an entire series of yoga sunrise shots… or perhaps a calendar? Great job.

  4. Wow did you really do Yoga at this wonderful location? I always imagine doing yoga like this but it just remains in my imagination. Lucky you to do Yoga in the morning sunrise.

  5. Your pictures are breathtakingly. I just begin Yoga and one day I hope to be at your level 😉
    Greetings from Germany

  6. I've just got into Yoga. I did it before, but it made me feel sick (no idea why!) So I retried and now I feel energised in a way I never have before.

  7. Love the pictures and the yoga asanas 🙂 I have started doing yoga again after a gap of 7 years and am loving it.
