Cabbage Tree Bay and Shelly Beach Walk

In my previous posts I have shared numerous pictures of Manly Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in Sydney. Today, let’s walk a little further and explore the beaches nearby.

I usually take Sydney Ferry from Circular Quay to reach Manly Beach. With the use of Opal cards, the ticketing system has become very convenient and efficient.

If you take the coastal path towards south of Manly Beach, you will come across Cabbage Tree Bay, tucked in a corner. With it’s rocky shores and rich marine life, the place is a hot spot for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Cabbage Tree Bay Eco Sculpture walk is a 15 minute walk that ends at Shelly Beach.
Look at this gorgeous Cormorant, gleefully spreading it’s wings.

As you walk along the Marine Pde, you will come across Fairy Bower Pool, which I believe is under construction. A quite place overlooking the massive sea. There were kids jumping over the rocks, a girl sincerely doing Yoga and few simply soaking in the tranquility of the place.

Afar you can see Shelly Beach, the only west facing beach in NSW coast. Perfect location for sunset photography.
