Hollow – Nove Otto Poetry Form

Saw a gorgeous double rainbow last month that made me stop and admire the beauty of nature. How often we are unable to look away from the phone and admire the beauty that surrounds us? Written for A to Z Challenge

In vibrant hues, the Rainbow smiles
across the sky for many miles
unaware, walks on life below
engrossed in pixel-sized beauty
gizmo lights and I-pads flirty
sadly sighs an aging willow
no longer buzz the Bumble bee
or sway with wind the silent trees
concrete jungle remains hollow.

The Nove Otto poetry form was created by Scott J. Alcorn. It is a nine-lined poem with 8 syllables per line (isosyllabic). The rhyme scheme is as follows: aacbbcddc
