Haiku – Winter’s Trail

Theme : Poetry Types

Day 1 – A for Acrostic

Day 2 – B for Blitz
Day 3 – C for CinqTroisDecaLaRhyme

Day 4 – D For Diamente
Day 5 – E for Essence

Day 6 – F for Florette
Day 7 – G for Ghazal

Haiku is a poem of three lines with syllable count as 5-7-5. Even though it looks simple, I sometimes find it tough to write because in few words you need to make an impact on the reader.
I wrote few Haiku’s for A to Z Challenge on nature and the cold winter.

Winter’s Trails
copper leaf gently
floats down the snow covered streets
onset of Autumn
cold bereaved winter
longs for warm flirtatious sun
white washed reverie
a burst of colors
when winter embraces spring
shy Daisies look on

Don’t forget to read The Husband’s Histrionics
and gorgeous view of Harbour

  1. that's a pretty one with the description. I used to feel Haiku's were three lined poetry – easy peasy. But it's not, I realized last night while writing the first one!
