Drabble – The Light

Grandpa was slowly arranging the lamps, carefully wiping the
dust, smiling once in a while, like being lost in distant memories.
A stray tear ran down his cheek as he felt the surface of a
white lamp, reflecting the ache in his heart.
Grandma had gifted those to Grandpa on every happy occasion,
which irked him to no end but this was her own adorable way of proving her
point.
Grandma was blind when she breathed her last 2 days back.

The lamps that now beautifully stood on the shelf symbolized
that he was indeed the light of her eyes.
