55 Fiction – Choice

Single parenting is tough. My only daughter rebelled, left
home and chose a path that I didn’t approve of.

I was scared of the past haunting me back.

But today when I met her, she looked most beautiful, dressed
in Khaki uniform with three stars on her shoulders. As graceful as her mother
did once.
