September was a beautiful month, although the seasonal allergies were a bit troublesome towards the end. The warm weather helped me to focus more on my physical health and enjoy the mornings in the garden.🌼

Spent the last two days binge watching Gyeongseong

Spent the last two days binge watching Gyeongseong Creature season 2 #drama . One of the characters asks the ML - "how much do you trust me?". He replies,"There's no how much in trust? I just trust you." ☺️ I loved this conversation so much.

I have been physically active this week, but I also ate extraordinarily well 😂 way too much because my husband and friends are awesome cooks. This double chin isn't going away anytime soon. 😭🤣

Front Splits ❤️

I haven't been able to practice splits much. The last time I did was for a yoga challenge. I am grateful that I am still able to do this on one side, although after a long warm-up. My other side is still wonky 😵‍💫 and a few inches off the ground.

The weather has been an absolute delight the last few weeks, so I am able to enjoy the backyard a bit more. Waiting for the daylight saving to begin so that I can enjoy some more light in the evenings. 😁

I never realised how seasonal change impact mood and behaviour, until this year. The onset of spring had definitely brightened up my mood. 🤩

I feel like they all are some variation of Side Crow or Parsva Bakasana. The transition to Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1 is a fun arm balance, although it is still a bit tricky for me. I learned to do these arm balances way before I could hold the crow pose properly. The next challenge is bakasana - balancing with straight arms 😵‍💫 how do so many practitioners do it so easily. 👏👌

Day 7 for #alofallenintofall challenge - Fallen Mermaid. I am late to submit my post as I was super busy with family. Glad I was able to spend an hour this morning to practice splits and backbend before heading out.

I started watching the popular Korean Drama - Queen of Tears yesterday. As always, I was binge watching and didn't get enough sleep because K-Dramas are so addictive. But today I feel like my head will explode. 😭 I miss my twenties when I could get by with just a few hours of sleep. Sigh - This baby grasshopper needs to sleep like a baby tonight.

Day 2 of #alofallenintofall - this is me in various "fallen" stages of "fallen boat", or even broken boat 😅. The only photos that have any hint of grace in it, otherwise 😵‍💫 . I was I inspired by all the cool fallen boat poses for the challenge, but sigh... today was not a good day for me. My hips and shoulders refused to move, so I took the help of a yoga strap. It didn't do much though.🤣 Anyway, I hope you are having a more creative time with today's challenging pose.

Day 1 of #alofallenintofall - Fallen tree
I was inspired by the poses I saw in my feed because I really had no clue what the fallen tree should look like. I am enjoying scrolling through all the creative poses for the challenge.

Today, I spent many hours in the garden, repotting and propagating plants 🪴 and admiring the pretty succulent flowers that are blooming this spring. Oh yeah, it is not fall for us in Sydney. Spring has arrived after a cold winter and I am looking forward to reclaim my garden for yoga flows. 🌼 I also finished reading the poetry book Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur.

Arm balances are my favourite. I think more than flexibility and mobility flows. I try my best to balance my workout and yoga practice, but somehow, I end up in a crow pose or flying split or elbow lever. 😄 They are fun and challenging, and I don't have to spend an hour doing warm up. 😄

Eka pada koundinyasana variation. I wanted to try the lizard arm balance, but I didn't do enough warm up for that to happen. It is still an asana that I am trying to achieve - along with a bunch of other arm balances. Arm balances are fun 😄 although I haven't done much transition flows, they are getting better and stronger with time.
Now that Spring has arrived in Sydney, I am trying to push myself to be active every day - unlike this winter when I couldn't find the motivation to be consistent with my fitness and yoga practice. Whether it is walking, cardio, or strength training, I'm trying to spend atleast 30 mins doing some kind of activity outside my routine. Wish me luck. ❤️

After the birth of my son, I had to give my interests/hobbies a serious 'we need to talk' moment. But the one non-negotiable was my fitness. Whether it’s yoga, strength training, or cardio, I squeeze it in however I can because if I don’t get my time on the mat, I’m one tantrum away from joining the chaos. 😅 Adulting is hard, but at least my Mayurasana is getting strong. 💪🤣
