Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Review

For facial creams, I am extremely loyal to a particular brand which I have been using it ever since high school. But over the past one year, due to seasonal changes, I have started looking out for other options. I was already using Olay’s facewash when a Blogadda offered a chance to review Olay products.

Since I was so impressed by Olay’s facewash, I applied and fortunately received it too :). I have sensitive and dry skin, any change usually leads to a week of zits. So I was absolutely apprehensive when I started using Olay Total Effects 7 in one Anti-Aging Cream.

Time is cruel and it can feels crueler footprints on your skin if you don’t take proper care. Wrinkles , crow’s feet, dark patches around eyes – these are just few of the changes you might notice once you cross the 30’s bar. I always insist on healthy diet and natural packs, but sometimes due to lack of time and lifestyle, we can’t take proper care of our skin. Lifestyle matters a lot since age signs have started appearing at an early age too. That is when external factors come into picture.

There are of course horde of skin cream that would make you look younger, but Olay Total Effects takes care of 7 factors in one.

These are :
Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Balance and even out the skin tone.
Reduce appearance of age spots.
Smooth and even out skin textures.
Provide nourishing moisturisation
Give skin radiance
Minimize the appearance of pores.

The cream has a slight oil base which is like a gift for people with extremely dry skin like me. I mean I literally get fish scales if I apply just one layer of lotion. My arms and legs are coated with 3-4 layers of body lotion before I venture out.

The cream doesn’t have a matte finish so the skin remains moisturized all day. I have been using it for the past 10 days and I can gradually see my skin becoming more and more clear. Thankfully no disaster erupted on face. The cream doesn’t have any strange fragrance so those who don’t like fruity or strong fragrances can use it without cringing their nose 😛 Yeah that applies to me too.

I am still using the cream to see if there are any more positives. But after using over the week I can assure that my skin has become softer and smoother. The smooth runny base allows one to massage around the eye area which you can’t do if the cream has a dry finish.

Having said that, I am not sure how the cream might react on people with oily skin. The pack I received costs Rs369 for 20ml, which frankly is quite expensive if the cream has to be used regularly.

As I said, Time is a cruel so precaution to to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Drink ample water, apply enough sunscreen and remove all the negative vibes in your life.
