Do you remember the time of CDs? Before the age of live streaming and high-speed data transfer through USB and Hard Disks, I used it extensively to store movies and video songs. But a lot of them got damaged over the period of time. In addition, the easy availability of data these days has made them quite obsolete. Here I am sharing an awesome way to reuse old CD and convert them into pretty craft items.
**************************
I made this little showpiece for the loved one by reusing an old CD. Almost every piece used in this showpiece is a recycled item. The yellow background is a gift wrapper that I had been saving for a long time hoping that one day I would put it to good use.
I made tiny flowers using quilling strips. You can refer to my post on how to make paper quilling flowers.
The blue tags are from a friend’s wedding invitation card, while the flowers are from birthday cards I had received a long time back.
I really like to reuse paper for all my crafts, that way they never go to waste and you get to make something pretty as well. After all, being resourceful should also be one of the talents of creative people. Don’t you agree? 🙂

Accompanying the showpiece is a handmade bookmark. The base was
already patterned. Can you guess what it is? It’s one of those hard paper they put inside new shirts. I have been saving them too. The heart and roses are made by quilling.

Let me know what you think.

Creative piece, lovely. The idea of using leftover things and making something pretty out of them is an art.
