Once upon a moonlight


Fireflies melt
into moon-eyed shadows
howling lullabies
of nocturne,

fidgety squirrels
s     u    t     e
   c     t    l
in tiny cracks
of a Fallen Oak,
tracing Orion.

The woods were lovely,
once,

when the night

a blueberry sky,
while Venus kissed
gurgling fountains,
and Sirius picked
wild mushrooms.
