When you are Clumsy AF

clumsy AF

If we are having a coffee, then probably we aren’t good friends. 🙂

But if we are having tea, I would tell you that I started my day by spilling water over my manager’s desk and his $200 brand new leather bag. We laughed it off, or maybe I was the only one laughing. He now keeps his water bottle tightly capped.

This isn’t the only time I spilled liquid you know.  The last time I spilled tea, three desks in my area had to be cleaned. Luckily it was just green tea.

Did you know that I can’t walk wearing headphones and simultaneously listen to a song. I end up crashing into trees and electricity poles. My attention span is the size of a teaspoon.

Talking of crashing into things, I still remember the glorious year of 2001 when I was walking with this handsome hunk along the school corridors. I was so engrossed admiring his face and listening to his deep baritone that I smashed head-on into a pillar. Who builds a pillar right in the middle of the corridor!

Do you want some more tea? My husband got me some amazing Blue tea by Teatonic, which I usually mix with green tea. Let me pour you some.  Knowing my flair for spilling and dropping things,  he got me a double sealed tin container instead of a normal packet of loose leaves.  🙈

It’s not easy when you are clumsy as eff. The things you take for granted comes really hard to us, like cycling on road without ending up with stitches,  or admiring a massive wine glass without accidentally hitting it against the wall and breaking it.

Or even making a good impression. Around a decade ago when I joined my first job,  my manager had called me to his cabin. I happily went in there, stood near his table and accidentally made his expensive looking glasses fall off the table.  I have no idea how I manage to do that.  Maybe there’s  a gravity around me that makes thing drop like apples.

I have saved the Best one for last. I used to live with two other girls in a paying guest accommodation. It was after midnight and we both were tired.  I was thirsty so I took my bottle and filled my mouth with as much water as I can.  My friend cracked a joke, I choked and splashed her with a gust of water straight out my mouth.  She  had to take take a bath at 1 in the morning. I seriously have no idea why she is still my friend 😂

I hope you enjoyed this tete-a-tete over tea.  Don’t worry I will not spill tea over you. 😀

  4. ROFL!! You are a riot Raj! I know many friends who are like you, afflicted by a strange aura that makes them accident prone! Fret not, you are not alone. This was just hilarious!

  5. Ultimate. I was completely sold on this post the moment I read the first quote. I knew what to expect and I got more than that. I am sure you have extra sensitive gravity around you which controls itself terribly when you do headstands or those balancing aasanas, holding you tight and never letting you fall. This same gravity which needs to exert out its hidden potential some way or the other thus works on the liquids, bottles and cups around you.
Have I solved the mystery? 😛

  6. Hehe the last one was indeed saving worthy;)!
I’m sort of clumsy too! Is getting better but, not sure 🤔

  7. I’d love to have tea with you one day Rajalakshmi. And you do seem to have a knack of spilling things and banging into stuff – practicing Spilasana and Bangasana;) ?
Be careful though where you practice these two! Enjoy your tea
