As a part of the celebrations to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the entry of the first Royal Australian Navy fleet in Sydney Harbour, on 4 October 1913 (wiki), a week long International Fleet Review is taking place in Sydney. The event kicked off on 3rd Oct and will continue till 11 Oct’2013.
Several naval ships have lined along Darling Harbour, which is even accessible to public at a small fee. Last Saturday, the Sydney sky was lit with spectacular fireworks and laser show.
My friends and hubby had booked a nice viewing place in Bradfield Park at Milson’s Point on Saturday while I was toiling in office. Yeah, this is the life of a developer.
I reached the spot by 4:30 pm. The whole place was crowded by both tourists and local public. Although the Airshow had begun by 2pm, I still managed to watch the last few airplane tactics.
A massive naval war ship passed by.
The crowd at Milson’s point was overwhelming. Can you see the large number of people that had turned up? We all were patiently waiting for the firework show which was scheduled to start at 7:40 pm.
And then it all began.
We stood mesmerized, crazily clicking pictures, cheering and clapping as about 7 tonnes of Fireworks kept us enthralled for half an hour.
It was the show of a lifetime.

We saw the fireworks when the news here in the UK covered Prince Harry's visit. The display must've been awesome – and incredibly loud!
