Dhekiakhua & Tea Gardens in Assam

It had been ages since I had done any Pooja- archana. So one fine Sunday we decided to visit Dhekiakhua Naamghar. Temples are called Naamghar in our place (Usually in Naamghar we don’t do Idol worship. 🙂
The morning was beautiful and foggy which started with extra dose Mahi’s extraordinary singing skills. Groggy eyed did my morning rituals and got ready. It was a 30 minutes drive from home.

Years ago flowers used to blossom in Dhekia plant –a kind of fern, but not any more. This a remnant of the Dhekia with flowers placed inside the Naamghar.
***********

This is a separate area to light Diyas and incense sticks..

Someone’s prayers and wishes are glowing in those holy light.
